Professor Edward Delp receives Google Faculty Research Award
Google Research Awards are one-year awards structured as unrestricted gifts to universities to support the work of world-class permanent faculty members at top universities around the world. Professor Delp's project is entitled: "Error Resilient Video Coding for Real-Time Communication".
Professor Edward Delp has received the Google Faculty Research Award for his project titled "Error Resilient Video Coding for Real-Time Communication". His group is examining new ways of making video delivered over the "net" more resilient to errors and noise.
The Google Research Awards are one-year awards structured as unrestricted gifts to universities to support the work of world-class permanent faculty members at top universities around the world. The intent of the award is to support cutting-edge research in Computer Science, Engineering, and related fields.
