The 9th and 10th graders at the summer camps organized by the Minority Engineering program (MEP) and the Women in Engineering program (WIEP) designed and implemented dance mats for the game Dance-Dance Revolution.

Yuri Kubo, a graduate student in the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering, is the 2009-10 academic year winner of a $10,000 Astronaut Foundation Scholarship. Yuri was one of two students nominated from Purdue for prestigious award, and the only winner from Purdue.
