According to the column "Reader's Choice" in the March 2009 issue of
the/ IEEE Signal Processing Magazine/, the article "Adaptive Bilateral
Filter for Sharpness Enhancement and Noise Removal," by Buyue Zhang and
Jan Allebach that appeared in the May 2008 issue of the /IEEE
Transactions on Image Processing,/ was one of four journal papers
published by the IEEE Signal Processing Society (excluding /IEEE Signal
Processing Magazine/ articles) that ranked among the top 100 monthly
downloads of all content from IEEE Xplore for at least two months during
the six month period from April 2008 to September 2008. Buyue Zhang
earned her Ph.D. from Purdue in May 2007. She is now with the Texas
Instruments DSPS R&D Center in Dallas, TX.
