Universidad San Francisco de Quito Study Abroad Program
Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) is located in Quito, Ecuador. Their mission is "to train freethinking, innovative, creative, enterprising individuals," in the hope that they can build and maintain USFQ as "a university of excellence". Students travel to USFQ Fall of Senior year and, if planned correctly with their primary advisor, are able to stay on track with their BME plan of study by completing the necessary prerequisite courses abroad. If you are interested in this program, you will complete your senior design project while at USFQ, as well as take technical electives, life science electives, and/or general education courses.
The language of instruction at USFQ is Spanish. However, there are a limited number of courses that are taught in English. Please click here to see requirements for this program.
The USFQ program has a strong research and education program in mechanical and electronic engineering. We recommend students focused on the mechanical or devices side of biomedical engineering consider this opportunity.
For more details about this opportunity, please go to Purdue's Universidad San Francisco de Quito Program Details page for more information.
