Why did you choose Aeronautics and Astronautics?
Growing up, I was lucky enough to be able to catch glimpses of the Blue Angels shows from the end of my street. Being a child, I fell down the rabbit hole of researching these jets and eventually wandered into a fascination for aerospace engineering.
Best event or organization you’ve participated in within AAE?
Purdue Space Day by far! Sign up to volunteer :)
Best event or organization you’ve participated in outside of AAE?
Purdue's semiconductor workforce development program (SCALE) has offered me incredible research and career opportunities. I've had to opportunity to participate in multidisciplinary work outside of AAE which I don't think many students typically do.
Why did you want to be an AAE Ambassador?
I've been participating in outreach for almost my entire life and I thought that this was another great way to give back to a community that I am a part of.
Favorite place on campus?
ARMS 3rd floor (I like yapping while working)
Favorite class you’ve taken thus far and why?
The VIP courses have been a transformative part of my time at Purdue and have been great segways into the other projects that I have been a part of.
What is one piece of advice you would give to a potential AAE student?
I think it's important to recognize that you're more than just an aerospace engineering student. You should explore topics and groups outside of your major. College is about more than just rockets!
Who is someone you look up to in the Aero/Astro industry and why?
Timothy Graves at the Aerospace Corporation was perhaps one of the most personable scientists I've ever met and I aspire to be as knowledgeable yet social as him as I hopefully move up in industry.
What motivates you to succeed?
Looking back at how little I used to know always keeps me motivated to keep on learning more.
What is your ultimate career goal?
I've wanted to work at Skunkworks ever since I was a kid!
What do you like to do when you’re not studying/in the lab or classroom?
I love taking walks to Discount Den to buy my silly little $3 drinks
