Why did you choose Aeronautics and Astronautics?
In 6th grade, my science teacher allowed us to watch Apollo 13, and ever since that day, I was obsessed with rocketry and aircraft. I found the technology and the quick problem solving so intricate and fascinating that I just had to be apart of it.

Best event or organization you’ve participated in within AAE?
I rushed Sigma Gamma Tau as a sophomore and I really enjoyed all the events that we were able to participate in, including STEM days for a local school. Being able to teach the younger generation about the field that I am passionate about was such an honor.

Best event or organization you’ve participated in outside of AAE?
A few friends and I founded our own club at Purdue dedicated to building and testing a trebuchet, modeled after the show Punkin' Chunkin'. The club is called Punkin' Chunkin' Purdue, and I really appreciate it for allowing us AAE students to interact with fellow engineering specialties and work towards a shared goal.

Why did you want to be an AAE Ambassador?
I wanted to be an AAE Ambassador because I wanted to help prospective students feel like they belonged and that they too could pursue their dreams.

Favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the rooftop garden in the Civil Engineering Building.

Favorite class you’ve taken thus far and why?
My favorite class was AAE 334, or aerodynamics. I didn't know how interested I was in aerodynamics until this class!

What is one piece of advice you would give to a potential AAE student?
The one piece of advice I would give to a potential AAE student is don't give up. The classes are difficult, but I promise you, you can do it. If you are passionate about it, then you will succeed, and don't let anyone tell you different!

Who is someone you look up to in the Aero/Astro industry and why?
I look up to Margaret Hamilton. Her accomplishments were fundamental to the success of the Apollo missions. I just have so much respect for her, and the fact that she did it all during 1969 (before women even had the right to a bank account!) is truly inspiring. She reminds me that you can do anything you put your mind to and to not let anyone stand in your way!

What motivates you to succeed?
IMy mom. She fully believes in me and in everything I do, and I refuse to let her down!

What is your ultimate career goal?
I'll be honest... I don't know! I would love to one day be able to work on the Artemis missions, but at this moment I'm not sure where my career path will take me, and that is exciting.

What do you like to do when you’re not studying/in the lab or classroom

I love to sew my own band tees and I absolutely LOVE to watch movies!
