MSE Faculty & Students volunteer at Klondike Elementary school to teach about the metal casting process

Purdue MSE students and Professor David Gildemeister volunteered at the local Klondike Elementary School (KES) carnival to teach kids about the metal casting process. Dozens of KES students packed sand into molds, watched metal being poured, and walked away with their very own pewter medallion. They’re learning that you can’t make it without materials!
