Dr. R. Edwin García named a fellow of the American Ceramics Society
We are pleased to announce that Dr. R. Edwin García was recently named a Fellow of the American Ceramics Society. His work on modeling properties and performance in ceramic properties and microstructural evolution of materials has made significant advances in areas ranging from sintering and thin film growth to rechargeable batteries and structural ceramics by developing novel modeling and simulation strategies. Prof. García is among the 20 highly decorated leaders in the field of ceramics named to the rank of ACerS Fellow this year, and joins several other Purdue MSE faculty as ACerS fellows.
