Congratulations to Dr. B. Stiven Puentes Rodriguez on successfully completing his PhD! Dr. Puentes was advised by Professor Trumble, and his research focused on developing a new electrical steel alloy with outstanding magnetic properties and improved workability for electrical motors. Additionally, he collaborated in a cross-functional team to scale-up a technique called hybrid cutting extrusion (HCE) which is useful to produce strips of low workability alloys via machining. Dr. Puentes has accepted a position with LAM Research in Fremont, CA.
