A Note from Society of Environmental and Ecological Engineering (SEEE)

The Society of Environmental and Ecological Engineering (SEEE) is a student organization that provides fundamental resources for EEE undergraduates, ranging from review sessions for the FE exam to exposure to various career and job opportunities.

SEEE also serves to strengthen professional and personal networks by inviting accomplished guest speakers to SEEE meetings. One of the unique undergraduate activities SEEE members participated in this past year was touring the Whirlpool ReNEWW house, which showed members sustainable living practices implemented within the house. SEEE helps to expand interest in EEE programs through outreach programs overseen by Associate Director of Advising, Tammi Thayer. The organization prides itself on participation with over half of all EEEs being active members and helping the EEE program grow. If you are interested in sharing your knowledge and experience with the SEEE students, please contact Dr. Howarter at howarter@purdue.edu.

The SEEE officers for the 2014-2015 school year were President, Luke Millen; Vice President, Sarah Gillespie; Secretary, Daniel Budreau; Treasurer, Curt Farner; and Public Relations Chairman, Brooke Poppe. The faculty advisor for SEEE was Prof. Sutherland with the assistance of Margaret Whelton.
