A Purdue research team is making progress in developing wireless implantable medical devices for treatment of a variety of conditions using wireless networks of nanoelectronic sensors and actuators.

Two key labs in Seng-Liang Wang Hall of Electrical and Computer Engineering celebrated grand openings Friday, April 24. The Grainger Energy Conversion and Microgrid Laboratory, and The Grainger Power Magnetics Fabrication Laboratory are located on the first floor of Wang Hall.

The three-year position at Oak Ridge National Laboratory is its most distinguished fellowship, designed to provide new scientific talent the opportunity to pursue technical excellence while making significant contributions to ORNL's national missions.

This program recognizes tenure track or clinical junior faculty members who are committed to improving their teaching at Purdue and senior faculty members for their long-term contributions to teaching and mentoring.

RIT's Kate Gleason College of Engineering established the award to recognize the influential role that academic leaders of engineering colleges play in creating the engineers of tomorrow.

The award was established to recognize the most outstanding papers from among those nominated by each Technical Committee in PES (Power & Energy Society). Their paper is titled "Voltage Ride-Through Capability Verification of Wind Turbines with Fully-Rated Converters using Reachability Analysis"

This scholarship includes an award of $2,000 to honor a graduate student who has provided outstanding service to the graduate student community, the School, the College, and/or the University.

Their paper is titled, "Ultralow-Voltage Process-Variation-Tolerant Schmitt-Trigger-Based SRAM Design".

Dalton researches with Dr. Peter Bermel in Purdue’s Birck Nanotechnology Center on modeling thin-film solar cells. His plans include the development of high efficiency and economically feasible solar cells that will provide a solid alternative to fossil fuels.
