The award was established to recognize the most outstanding papers from among those nominated by each Technical Committee in PES (Power & Energy Society). Their paper is titled "Voltage Ride-Through Capability Verification of Wind Turbines with Fully-Rated Converters using Reachability Analysis"

A paper authored by PhD student Hugo Villegas Pico and Professor Dionysios Aliprantis has won the 2015 IEEE PES (Power & Energy Society) Prize Paper Award. This award was established to recognize the most outstanding papers from among those nominated by each Technical Committee in PES, and is the highest award bestowed to a technical publication by the Society. Their paper is titled "Voltage Ride-Through Capability Verification of Wind Turbines with Fully-Rated Converters using Reachability Analysis."

This paper was previously named the best paper over 2013-14 in the IEEE Transactions on Energy Conversion, where it was published in the June 2014 issue.
