Professor Gerhard Klimeck invited to Presidential Manufacturing Event

Professor Klimeck was invited by the White House to attend President Obama's manufacturing event at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh on Friday, June 24th. The event was to announce a $500 million endeavor for universities and companies to develop innovations in manufacturing.

Professor Sanjay Rao receives 2011 ACM SIGMETRICS Test of Time Award

This award recognizes the impact and lasting influence of papers published in the SIGMETRICS conference 10-12 years ago. Professor Rao's paper, "A Case for End System Multicast", was the first to show the viability of a peer-to-peer approach to Internet video broadcasting and conferencing.
