Women in Data Science Conference

Priority: No
College Calendar: Show

Women in Data Science (WiDS for short) is a one day conference on Monday March 5th, featuring exclusively female speakers from several departments on campus plus a few from industry. You may be interested in attending if you’re curious about problems/research using real world data. The conference is open to everyone, but registration is required. If you’re interested, you can learn more and register on our website: https://wids.cs.purdue.edu

In addition, Julia Computing will be on campus on March 5 to deliver and introductory Julia tutorial. Join us for this introductory tutorial in LWSN 1142 on Purdue's campus! Bring a laptop to interact with tutorial materials - no installations required. Come early! Food will be served starting at 4PM.

This tutorial will be offered as part of the WiDS conference. All material should be accessible, targeting complete newcomers to Julia. We aim to show you why Julia is a great language for data science and to get you coding in Julia before we're done!
