Graduate Research Assistant Position Available

Dr. Jo at the School of Nursing is hiring a 0.5 FTE (20 hours per week) graduate student RA for the academic year. The RA position will start in August when the semester begins. Ideal candidates will have a background in Health Sciences or Social Sciences, with a preference for PhD students.

 
Job Description:
 
The RA will assist Dr. Jo with both quantitative and qualitative research, focusing on HPV vaccine-related studies. The work will include analyzing social media data and conducting a cross-sectional study within rural communities in Indiana.
 
Requirements:
  • Fluency in Python (experience with data science projects is preferred, but not required), or Fluency in English with knowledge of American slang (for social media analysis).
  • Strong statistical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • An unencumbered driver’s license and operating vehicle.

The initial contract is for one semester, with the potential for extension based on performance.
