Engineering Faculty Positions at Chapman University

Position Type: Faculty
Priority: No
Degree Requirement: PhD
Engineering Faculty Positions at Chapman University
We are continuing our rapid and aggressive expansion of the Fowler School of Engineering here at Chapman University. We are now entering our fourth year as a school, and our second occupying the beautiful new Swenson Hall of Engineering. During that period, we have expanded to 26 full-time faculty and have grown our undergraduate enrollment to nearly 550 students. Next year, we anticipate starting a new MS in EE/CS, which will represent Chapman’s first step into graduate engineering education. I would be so grateful if you would assist us in our growth by sharing the postings linked below with your faculty, postdocs, and graduate students.
Please note that we are definitely interested in seeing applications from talented PhD students who will complete their degree in 2023. We are also driven to support a highly inclusive environment for students, staff, and faculty, and are proud of the diverse community we have recruited to Chapman – as just one example, our full-time faculty is >50% female. We would love to hear from candidates who are similarly passionate about broadening access to engineering education in a multitude of ways. Finally, I will note that we have achieved pay equity for our instructional track faculty relative to our tenure ladder faculty, and are also able to offer long-term contracts for faculty not on the tenure track – these are just a few of the ways in which we ensure that all members of our faculty feel engaged, respected, and have an equal voice in our School’s future.
Thank you so much for any assistance you can offer. Interested candidates should feel free to reach out directly to me if they have any questions, or they can email
