Student Hiring for the ECE Corporate Partnerships Program

We are hiring for two hourly student positions in the ECE Corporate Partnerships Program (CPP) Office. The CPP is the unit within ECE that interfaces with companies to increase their engagement with our research, teaching, and engagement missions. It facilitates the companies joining us and engaging with us as our Corporate Partners-typically more than 30 companies are in the program and growing.
 
The student members will be an integral part of creating and refining programs that engage our students and faculty with the top companies in the space of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. They will pick up valuable professional skills and add a unique element to their resumes.
 
The supervisor for both positions will be the Faculty Director of the CPP, Prof. Saurabh Bagchi.
 
Common characteristics of applicants for both positions: May be undergraduate or graduate students. Enthusiastic, self-motivated, good English oral and written skills, proficient with software automation tools and scripting languages (to automate workflows).
 
Time commitment: 10 hours/week over the Fall 2022 semester. The position will continue in Spring 2023 subject to continued need and satisfactory progress by the student.
Pay: $15-18/hour, depending on qualifications
 
Position 1: Data Analyst
Position description: Develop analytics to extract insights from student-corporate partner engagements, national competitive landscape, and present through intuitive graphical representations.

Position 2: Frontend and backend infrastructure
Position description: Develop backend content management platform for tracking program activities and profiles of students and faculty. Develop frontend for corporations and our faculty and students to interact with this backend.

  • Required: Database and CMS setup and management
  • Desired: Computer administration
