Job Title: Senior Design Engineer
Job Site: Sunnyvale, CA
As a Device Design Engineer, you will work in a dynamic team environment at AOS headquarter located in Sunnyvale, CA. The main responsibility of this position is to work with marketing/process integration/product engineering group to develop silicon power device technology.
Job Description:
- Power device structure and process simulation with TCAD tools including Tsuprem4, Medici, and Sentaurus.
- Device characterization with LCR meter, curve tracer, FET test, etc.
- Layout design for power devices with L-edit.
- Work closely with the marketing, packaging, product engineering, and integration groups to design, develop, and launch new products and next generation platforms.
Requirements:
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree
- Strong power device physics including VDMOS, trench DMOS and SGT device.
- Good knowledge of semiconductor process such as diffusion, implantation and etching.
- Ability to work in team environment and participates in multi-discipline development projects.
- Hands on experience with laboratory equipment and characterization of semiconductors and their applications.
- Basic knowledge of basic power conversion topologies, such as DC/DC, Flyback, PFC, and LLC topologies.

R&D Senior Process Integration Engineer at Alpha & Omega Semiconductor
Job Title: Senior Process Integration Engineer
Job Site: Hillsboro, OR
As a Process Integration Engineer, you will work in a dynamic team environment at AOS Semiconductor’s leading technology fabrication facility (Jireh Semiconductor) located in Hillsboro, Oregon. The focus of this position is to work with device/process module/product engineering group to develop silicon power device process technology and improve existing technology yield. Primary responsibilities are to process flow implementation, electrical characterization (failure analysis), and wafer level testing yield monitoring.
Job Description:
- Power device (MOSFET//IGBT/TVS etc.) technologies new product introduction and yield improvement in Jireh Semiconductor

New Product Introduction
- Collaborate with product engineering team to perform NPI (New Product Introduction) on existing platform (analysis DOE/Pre-Production lots data/documentation according NPI procedure to release new product)
- Collaborate with design groups within the company to troubleshoot device related problem, provide documentation and expertise to maximize the efficient use of process technologies

Yield improvement
- daily monitor existing technologies wafer level testing yield
- low yield root cause identification (through failure analysis, inline data analysis and lot history)
- collaborate with process module groups to tighten inline control/new target/recipe optimization for continuous yield improvement
Requirements:
- Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related engineering degree
- Working experience in semiconductor wafer process and fabrication is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of semiconductor device physics and experience with device processing and integration, test structure definition, design rule generation, DOE, failure analysis, process control document (PCD) generation, and device characterization.
Experience with discrete power devices is preferred
