Assistant Professor (Tenure-Track) Positions at Computer Engineering Computer Science, California State University Long Beach (CSULB)
 
The Computer Engineering Computer Science Department at California State University Long Beach (CSULB) has two tenure track faculty openings. We are especially looking for candidates with strong background in any of the following or related fields: 
 
  1. reinforcement learning, federated learning, security, and privacy in machine learning, or related fields 
  2. model-driven software engineering, software verification and validation, software design and modeling, or related fields

The College of Engineering at CSULB is committed to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education and research. The Computer Engineering Computer Science Department provides exciting opportunities for close collaborations with current faculty, industry and local partners, and other departments on campus. It is the largest department in the college and one of the largest departments on campus with around 1700 undergraduate and 300 graduate students. CSULB is located on a 323-acre campus in proximity to Southern California beaches with strong, dynamic, diverse industry. CSULB is one of the largest universities of the California State University system, the largest four-year public university system in the United States. 
 
The effective start date is August 17th of 2022. Candidates need to have a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field at the time of application or official notification of completion of degree by August 1, 2022. The review process will begin on December 7th of 2021
