Exponent Engineering & Scientific Consulting Firm is Hiring Purdue Students

I was recently contacted by Jim Keough of Exponent, a company located in Phoenix, Arizona, who is very interested in hiring Purdue PhD graduates for his company. Exponent currently have over 600 PhDs on staff from various institutions, such as MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, & Cal Tech. Having Purdue affiliations, and having served on Purdue’s TAP Advisory Board, Jim would really like to increase the number of PhDs on staff from Purdue.

Exponent is a firm involved in a variety of consumer product testing for a wide range of companies. Jim’s area of expertise is within the recreational vehicle (RV) division, where they test the safety of vehicles, reconstruct accidents, and perform destructive testing of products. For this work, they would like to employ individuals with highly analytical minds, preferably with experiences or a background in industry. Exponent has 255 open positions, with 14 of them being in the Vehicle Practice Division. I have included a short paragraph provided by Jim, as well as a link to Exponent’s website.

Would you have any students who may be interested in pursuing a career opportunity in this area of industry? I would be happy to put you into contact with Jim directly, or forward any resumes from students who you think may be interested.

I believe this would be a great way to improve placement numbers for those academics who do not wish to pursue a faculty or staff position, and would like to use their advanced degrees in an industrial setting.
