CCO Virtual Services (including WebEx presentations)

Priority: No
College Calendar: Show
The Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) has converted all in-person services to virtual services! Students can schedule appointments through BoilerConnect (and plan to meet via WebEx or over the phone), or email resumes and CVs for review (send to askCCO@purdue.edu), or attend one of our online presentations. We are working on developing more targeted content related to career planning and the job search during the global pandemic for domestic students and international students.  In the meantime, please advertise the first set of WebEx presentations to graduate students and postdocs:

April 7 at 3 p.m. --- CCO Virtual Resources
The CCO has gone virtual! Attend this Webex presentation to learn about specific virtual resources like myCCO, Big Interview, VMock, Career Research Portal, and others. We will also describe how you can continue to use the CCO's services (like appointments and ‘virtual drop-in’ assistance) to get your documents reviewed, strategize your job search, and plan your career.

April 13 at 10:30 a.m. --- CV basics
Attend this WebEx presentation to learn the fundamentals of a Curriculum Vita. This will be most useful to those who are new to creating CVs or those who need a quick refresher on what to include. This presentation is a repeat of the one (similarly titled) offered in February 2020.

April 14 at 10:30 a.m. --- Convert your CV to a resume
Attend this Webex presentation to learn how to convert an academic CV into a professional resume (for non-academic positions). This presentation is a repeat of the one (similarly titled) offered in February 2020.
