The ECE Development Office has just opened up a new position for a student clerical worker. This position is open to start immediately, and it is a part-time position with the Purdue Research Foundation. It is open to all students enrolled in the ECE program, undergraduate as well as graduate.

STUDENT CLERICAL WORKER - ECE

Essential Functions:
  • Make telephone calls to members of ECE 365, acquainting them with news and developments within the School of ECE.
  • Create write-ups on ECE student life and student organizations, communicating with student organization members to identify areas for funding and engagement.
  • Conduct interviews of student organization officers that will be used to create fundraising materials.
  • Provide support and assistance for the School of ECE’s Purdue Day of Giving plans and preparations as required.
  • Create flyers and promotional materials for company visits as needed.
  • Run campus errands, including deliveries.
  • Use the donor database (Advance CS) to insert contact reports and gather information.
  • Assist with alumni events and the creation of personalized gift baskets.
  • Manage inventory of promotional materials.
  • Mail and retrieve packages.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Applicants should be excited to engage with our friends and alumni, and should display an energy and enthusiasm for their work.
  • Able to use the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft Excel, to create spreadsheets.
  • Must possess, independent working skills, good organizational skills, communication skills and ability to exercise good judgment.
Other:
  • This position is located on the Purdue University campus.
  • Hours: 10-15 hours/week
  • Pay: $8.25/hour
