GRAD590: Fellowship and Grant Application Writing open for Summer 2020 registration

Please share the attached flyer with your masters (research-based only) and PhD graduate students. There are currently a limited number of seats available for the summer 2020 GRAD 590: Fellowship and Grant Application Writing class, which will meet twice a week during the first summer session (May 18 – July 10).  Students are welcome to reach out to Lisa Nielsen with questions. 
 
 
GRAD 590: Fellowship and Grant Application Writing
 
This 1.0 credit hour, pass/no pass, class gives you a structured system to practice proposal writing and prepare fellowship application statements. Class content focuses on common fellowship application components and the analysis of writing mechanics and content. By the end of the semester you will be a level above other fellowship applicants!
 
You can expect to learn the following:
 
  • Identification of Funding Opportunities
  • Personal Statement Composition
  • Research Project Planning, Research Statement Composition
  • Command of Grant Proposal Writing Style and Tone
  • Quick and Effective Editing Practices
 
Summer 2020: First Eight-Week Session (May 18 – July 10)
Class Meeting Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30 – 4:20 pm
Prerequisites: Enrollment in a PhD or Master’s Research-Based Program
Credit Hours: 1.0 (two, one-hour class sessions each week)
Grade Mode: Pass/No Pass only
