Auditory Neuroscience Organization

Priority: No
College Calendar: Show
We are working to start up a student organization around auditory neuroscience. If you are an undergraduate, graduate, or post-doc interested in sensory encoding of sound, neurophysiological measures of brainstem circuits, hearing loss and how to best compensate for it, the complexity of the peripheral hearing sensory organs, and other aspects of auditory neuroscience, get in touch with Ravinderjit Singh (singh415@purdue.edu) to get added to our email list. There are several ways Electrical Engineering principles, like signal processing, mesh with biology in this field.

We are currently meeting to have journal club discussions. The goal of the club is to help each other out since we are all interested in a common area. We make sure everyone in the club understands the discussion and we explain all aspects of whatever is being discussed and are always open to any questions. We also have great discussion and leverage each others expertise to understand the complex problems in the field. Its also a great low stress environment to practice presenting!

If interested, please get in touch. Our next meeting will be on October 9.

Best,
