Green is one of two Purdue Engineering faculty selected as winners of the second annual Blue Sky competition, which supports high-risk, high-reward ideas that have the potential to transform how we address major societal challenges.

From classroom to laboratory: High school interns explore biomedical engineering

For eight weeks this summer, five high school students traded textbooks for lab benches as they joined Purdue University's Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering for the 2026 High School Summer Research Internship. Launched in 2023, the experiential learning program introduces students to the growing field of biomedical engineering while providing hands-on research experience and a glimpse into how the discipline is shaping the future of patient care.
