Postdoctoral Research Position - Wallace Lab

Postdoctoral positions available to study impacts of disease and treatment on bone matrix quality and mechanics

Postdoctoral positions funded by NIH, NSF, or VA grants are available in the laboratory of Dr. Joseph Wallace to work in basic and translational research studies on novel ways to treat bone disease through modifications of bone matrix quality. The Bone Biology and Mechanics Lab (BBML), in the Biomedical Engineering Department at IUPUI, is centrally located on campus with the IU School of Medicine and the Indiana Center for Musculoskeletal Health (ICMH), within a 1-mile radius of 5 distinct medical centers. In addition to equipment and resources within the lab, ICMH boasts numerous core facilities with access to all resources needed to study and analyze structure/function relationships in the skeleton across multiple length scales.

Highly motivated individuals with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or related fields are encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience in bone mechanics and mechanobiology or other techniques related to bone and mineral research are desirable.

The BBML is committed to being a workplace that pursues the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion. We invite individuals who will join us in our mission to advance racial equity to transform health and wellbeing for all. Please send a CV, cover letter, and names of three references to Dr. Wallace if interested.
