Why I chose Purdue?
I wanted to go to a great engineering programming which was close to home but not too close. Purdue was one of those schools. So I took a tour of Purdue and found out that there first year engineering program was great to explore my options in engineering. That set them apart from the other colleges.

Why I chose Engineering and BME?
I knew from the beginning I wanted to go to medical school. The major would teach me how the medical devices function and problem solving skills which will help medical school and to be a better doctor. I also felt that with biomedical engineering have more content pertained to human medicine than other majors.

Extra-curricular activities:
• Purdue Medical Innovation Networking and Design (MIND)
• Intramural Sports
• BME ambassador

Engineering-related experience/CO-OP/Intern/Research:
IU-Cardiovasular Course: A two week course at Methodist hospital where we got to see surgeries, go on round, and interact with sales reps varying biomedical companies.
Summer Research: I did research in visual perception to help prove human vision is based on Bayesian Theory.

Post-graduation plans:
I plan on going to medical school right after completing my biomedical engineering degree. There is also a chance I want to go out in industry for a year to see if I want to apply to medical school.
