Gain a Rapid Return on Your Investment

Increase Your Worth

Our Professional Master's students see an instant return on investment with higher starting salaries and better job titles once completing this program.  On average the pay and title bump would have taken 3-5 years working in industry.

Standard Tuition Rate

Why does this matter?  It matters because many professional Master’s (even other professional Master’s at Purdue) and professional degrees charge a “market rate” instead of traditional university tuition.  This cost is usually elevated from standard tuition costs making those degrees more expensive to attain.

Low Cost of Living in the Midwest

Indiana is a very affordable place to live.  When comparing graduate programs make sure you are also factoring in the cost of living for the areas you are considering as that can make a big difference in your financial commitment.

Regulatory Courses and Certificate

Medical devices are a nearly $500 billion global market and encompass technologies such as heart valves, joint replacements, medical imaging equipment, diagnostic tests, and digital health technologies contained within smart watches.  These are complex products that often take many years of development and testing before they are available to treat and care for patients.  Regulatory professionals who understand both the science of medical device development and the regulatory processes that are in place to protect and promote public health are needed to lead companies through the development, testing, and approval of medical devices.

This program offers a unique training opportunity to prepare students for rewarding careers in the medical device industry.  Success in industry requires knowledge across multiple areas covering the life cycle of a product, including medical device development, laboratory and clinical testing, quality systems, and regulatory submission and approval processes.  These topics, and others, are available through courses offered as part of our regulatory series and will also be available as a certificate for those looking to add to their credentials. Courses are taught by expert Purdue faculty and through strong partnerships with the medical device industry and regulatory agencies.
