Fang Huang, Reilly Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Purdue will present "Ultra-high resolution structural and molecular imaging of cells and tissues" on Wednesday, November 13th at 9:30 a.m. in MJIS 1001 as part of BME's Distinguished Research Seminar series.

Fernando Aguilera de Alba, a PhD student in BME, will present "Acute Peripheral and Central Auditory Deficits Following Continuous Aircraft-Carrier Noise Exposure at Moderate Sound Levels" as part of the SEminars in Hearing Research on Thursday, November 7th at 12:00 noon in Nelson Hall, Room 1215.

Kristen Naegle, Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Resident Faculty, Center for Public Health Genomics and Member, Data Sciences Institute, University of Virginia, will present "Computational and experimental tools to understand tyrosine phosphorylation in cell signaling" on Wednesday, November 6 at 9:30 a.m. in MJIS 1001 and via Zoom.

Aniket Bera, PhD, Associate Professor, Department of Computer Science and Director of the IDEAS Lab, Purdue, will present "Designing AI-driven Behaviorally-intelligent Agents: Modeling Motion, Interactions, and Collaborations as part of the Neurotrauma and Diseases seminar series on Wednesday, November 6 at 4:00 p.m. in NLSN 1195.

Congratulations to Pavlos Vlachos, the St. Vincent Health Professor of Healthcare Engineering at the Purdue University Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, for being elected a 2024 Fellow of the American Physical Society.

Dr. Phillip Messersmith, Professor and Chair of Bioengineering, University of California, Berkeley, will present "Water-Triggered Polymerization of a Lipoic Acid for Surgical Adhesion" on Wednesday, October 30th at 9:30 a.m. in MJIS 1001 and via Zoom as part of BME's Distinguished Research Seminar Series.

Charlotte Garcia, Postdoctoral Researcher, University of Cambridge, will present "Electrophysiological measures of auditory perception in cochlear implant users from the electrode-neuron interface to the cortex" via Zoom on Thursday, October 24th at 12:00 noon.

Patrick Kerstein, Assistant Professor, School of Health Sciences, Purdue Institute for Integrative Neuroscience, will present "The Assembly and Disassembly of the Visual Nervous System in Health and Disease," on Wednesday, October 23 at 4:00 p.m. in DLR 131.
