How They Were Chosen

These honorees were selected based on their teaching effectiveness, as measured by six key questions from the CIE teacher evaluation survey. Individual instructor averages were calculated on a 5-point scale for both undergraduate and graduate courses in engineering. To ensure fairness, only classes with at least 10 students and a response rate of 50% or higher were included in the evaluation.

To account for differences in class sizes, courses were divided into four categories—small, medium, large, and very large—corresponding to quartiles of enrollment size distribution. Instructors who scored in the top 25% (75th percentile or higher) within their category for the Fall 2024 semester received this recognition.
