Purdue has been everything Dasari envisioned

Purdue has been everything Dasari envisioned, an “invaluable” experience that has helped him achieve goals and shape him into the person he wants to be.

Ronith Dasari was drawn to life at Purdue because of its reputation “as one the greatest engineering schools in the world” with a “wealth of resources and diverse opportunities.”

Dasari, from Bloomington, Illinois, has seen that play out over nearly four years in West Lafayette.

Dasari has been a leader on an EPICS @purduebme team working on an aesthetic myoelectric prosthetic and a director on the @asme prosthetics team that developed its first viable prototype in three years of a partial hand prosthetic for a chef in Italy.

#Purdue has been everything Dasari envisioned, an “invaluable” experience that has helped achieve goals and shape him into the person he wants to be.

“What drives me is my goal to create a positive impact on the world in a meaningful and fulfilling way,” said Dasari, a Dean’s Leadership Scholar and the latest student to be featured in our “Faces of Purdue Engineering” portrait series.

“My motivation stems from a desire to contribute to healthcare advancements that will make people all across the world happier and healthier. Every effort I’ve put into my education and career is aimed at making a real difference in improving lives.”
