Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering celebrates record Day of Giving

The Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering had a record-setting Day of Giving, a 24-hour higher education fundraising campaign at Purdue University on April 24. A record number of donors made gifts totaling $918,237, a record high for the school for the annual campaign, bringing the school’s six-year cumulative Day of Giving total to $2,745,058.
Students helped celebrate Day of Giving by handing out free doughnuts in the Martin C. Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering atrium.

“It’s great to experience the Weldon School family coming together like this to make such an impactful show of support,” said Brian Knoy, chief development officer for the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering. “There is so much going on right now with the expanding capabilities in the new Innovation Wing, the game-changing research that our outstanding faculty and students are doing, our growing partnerships. Day of Giving is a one-day celebration of the sense of optimism we feel year round.”

Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering students celebrated Day of Giving by handing out dozens of free doughnuts in the Martin C. Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering atrium. It was a sweet day in more ways than one.
