Adam Griebel and Tyler Novak took 2nd place in the undergraduate poster competition at the recent ASME conference held in Pennsylvania.

The two undergraduates performed the work and competed in the competition (presentation), guided by graduate student Kent Butz. The project was sponsored by Eli Lilly, Inc. to aide in the design of autoinjectors for diabetes patients. The title was "Prestress as an Optimal Biomechanical Parameter for Needle Penetration and Formulation Injection," and included a presentation at the 2011 Summer Bioengineering Conference of the ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers).

Congratulations!
