Staff Awards Crown 2007

2007 ends with three Weldon staff members recognized for their outstanding contributions to Purdue. Two were recognized by the College of Engineering, while the third was honored with a University award.

Cynthia L. Ferguson was recognized with the College of Engineering's New Employee Award for her "initiative, proactive attitude, and willingness to support others." Cynthia joined the Weldon School in 2004 and serves as an administrative assistant to the academic programs office.

Kirk Foster received the Professional Achievement Award "For his outstanding contributions in advancing biomedical technologies and his exceptional performance as team leader of the Martin C. Jischke Hall of Biomedical Engineering building committee." Kirk started work in biomedical engineering in 1979 and serves as the Senior Research Engineer for the Weldon School.

Jo Gelfand received the Eudoxia Girard Martin Memorial Staff Recognition Award "In appreciation of your qualities of heart, mind and spirit which evince a love for and helpfulness to students, staff, and faculty." Jo serves as the Extramural Programs Coordinator for the Weldon School.
