Why did you choose Aeronautics and Astronautics?
Since I was little, I always loved learning about space. As I got older, I found the part the interested me the most was how we get there. Now, I have a love for both aircraft and spacecraft and get the best of both worlds in AAE!

Best event or organization you’ve participated in within AAE?
The best organization I have been a part of in AAE is Zucrow Labs. The work done is fascinating and the faculty and students are great mentors. 

Best event or organization you’ve participated in outside of AAE?
I have been a proud member of Purdue Night Train Swing Dance my entire college career and it's the best way to take a break from classes and work!

Why did you want to be an AAE Ambassador?
I have been incredibly lucky to have great mentors and opportunities within AAE and I wanted to be able to represent the program and help mentor other prospective students.

Favorite place on campus?
I like to explore new buildings I haven't been in yet, but my favorite place on campus will always be wherever my friends are. 

Favorite class you’ve taken thus far and why?
My favorite class so far has been Rocket Propulsion. It has combined some of my favorite concepts from other classes with a subject I love - getting to space! 

What is one piece of advice you would give to a potential AAE student?
Grades won't define the kind of engineer you will be, but the experiences you seek out and how you interact with others will!

Who is someone you look up to in the Aero/Astro industry and why?
I look up to NASA astronaut Jessica Meir. She wanted to be an astronaut from a young age and successfully achieved that goal. She is also a marine biologist and participated in the first ever all-female spacewalk.

What motivates you to succeed?
Keeping one solid end goal in mind and reminding myself what challenges I have already overcome motivates me to keep going. .

What is your ultimate career goal?
My ultimate career goal is to be an astronaut. Along the way I hope to attend Test Pilot School and work in propulsion testing. .

What do you like to do when you’re not studying/in the lab or classroom?
Outside of class I like to take flight lessons with Purdue Aviation, sing in University Choir, or share a dance with Night Train.

Favorite Fun Fact about Purdue?
The Purdue airport was the first university owned airport in the country!
