Why did you choose Aeronautics and Astronautics?
I chose Aeronautics and Astronautics because I wanted to be a part of a long legacy of impact and innovation. I hope to one day contribute to that and I know this school will help me get there.

Best event or organization you’ve participated in within AAE?
Best organization I participated in AAE is a club I'm a part of called PURPL. Everyone in that club is so willing to help. They are so friendly and so kind and I love them all. I haven't been there long, however that club has already given me an opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to a Rocket Detonation Engine project, which I grew to be super passionate about. I owe so much to everyone on that team.

Best event or organization you’ve participated in outside of AAE?
Best event I participated in outside of AAE is Suits and Sari's by Indian Student Association (ISA). Me personally, I love to wear nice clothes and so I matched all my best pieces together and got some of my best pictures from it. Dressing up for the event allowed me to show my personality and bring my swag out and I felt super confident going into the event. Usually, I am a bit shy to dance with a big crowd however that night I danced like nothing before and I loved it.

Why did you want to be an AAE Ambassador?
I want to be an AAE Ambassador because I want to give my perspective on our Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering program to students who are interested in it. As someone who transferred from the Indianapolis location to the West Lafayette location, I have a unique perspective on entering a program and an area which is totally new. As someone who experienced that and made many mistakes, I can tell those interested how to navigate the program and avoid the mistakes I made.

Favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the Purdue Memorial Union (PMU) mainly because of the nice studying areas it has. You can also go downstairs and get a Starbucks or go down the hall to get coffee from Purdue's Leaps coffee shop which is a major bonus.

Favorite class you’ve taken thus far and why?
My favorite class I have taken so far was my EPICS class. Because of this class, I got two nice experiences and projects to talk about and got so many hands-on and critical thinking skills. It built my foundational skills as an engineer. Last, having to build something as a class assignment is such a blessing and I loved it.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a potential AAE student?
Once piece of advice I would give to a potential AAE student is to start as early as you can. What I mean by that is to find your favorite club, find your niche, find your strengths, and your weaknesses. For example, start working on a project as fast as you can so you can so by the time you graduate, you will leave with handful of experience and skills on your belt. If you find your strengths early, you will be able to leverage those to your benefit and also be able to work on your weaknesses so by the time you graduate, your weaknesses will become a part of your strengths. Get involved quickly so you can experience everything AAE has to offer and make sure to look at every opportunity you see which interests you. If you get started right away, you will get the most you can out of your college experience, believe me it goes by so quickly!

Who is someone you look up to in the Aero/Astro industry and why?
Someone I look up to in the Aero/Astro industry is Jared Isaacman, the current Administrator of NASA. I first heard about him when he went on the Inspiration4 mission onboard SpaceX's Dragon capsule. I grew a lot of respect for him when he did that spacewalk on the Polaris Dawn mission also onboard SpaceX's modified Dragon capsule. He is a huge advocate for space and is super passionate about it, which is why when he became administrator, I became super excited. I hope one day I can make an impact like he has made on the aerospace industry.

What motivates you to succeed?
What motivates me to succeed is the end goal of college which is getting my degree. Getting that degree means that I proved to myself and to everyone else that no matter what problems or issues I experienced, that I persevered through and didn't let myself lose focus.

What is your ultimate career goal?
My ultimate career goal is to have my own aerospace company, making the best rockets and crewed space vehicles we can make.

What do you like to do when you’re not studying/in the lab or classroom?
When I'm not studying or in the classroom, I love to enjoy a nice cup of coffee at nice, peaceful place and watch my favorite move or show. It's so peaceful.

Favorite Fun Fact about Purdue?
My favorite fun fact about Purdue is that the molecule that is inside the chemistry building on campus is actually caffeine.
