Why did you choose Aeronautics and Astronautics?
I chose AAE because I have been fascinated with space and flight since I was very young, and I also love to solve problems for fun, so AAE seemed like a perfect combination of the two.

Best event or organization you’ve participated in within AAE?
The best organization I have participated in is the Purdue Space Program. They have allowed me to gain technical skills and hands on experience that goes far beyond what is available in the classroom.

Best event or organization you’ve participated in outside of AAE?
The best organization that I have participated in outside of AAE is the marching band. The band has been my home and my family since day 1 at Purdue and I am so thankful for that community.

Why did you want to be an AAE Ambassador?
I chose to become an ambassador because I love getting to share my passion and excitement about aerospace engineering, specifically Purdue AAE, with others. I want the ability to impact others in a positive way and provide a positive image for Purdue.

Favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the engineering fountain at night, it is incredibly peaceful and one of my favorite places to be by myself.

Favorite class you’ve taken thus far and why?
My favorite class I have taken is AAE251, introduction to aerospace design. I loved this class because it was the first time I got to apply my skills and work on a project that was close to reality. I got the opportunity to work closely with a team of people to design a practical mission to mars.

What is one piece of advice you would give to a potential AAE student?
I would recommend that you take advantage of all of the resources available to you. So many students have come before and there are so many people willing to help you with anything that you need!

Who is someone you look up to in the Aero/Astro industry and why?
I look up to my old boss from Honeywell, Amy Evers, because not only is she always organized and on top of things, but was alwasy incredibly kind and personable to me when I felt overwhelmed or confused.

What motivates you to succeed?
The idea that I can always do better is what motivates me, theres always something I can do to improve in the future and "build one brick higher".

What is your ultimate career goal?
My ultimate career goal is to make a meaningful impact in the feild of sustainable/renewable rocket propulsion, allowing for a cleaner industrialization of space.

What do you like to do when you’re not studying/in the lab or classroom?
I love to hang out with my friends and play video games, board games, or go out to get dinner in Chauncey.

Favorite Fun Fact about Purdue?
My favorite fun fact about Purdue is that the roman numeral for 4 on the bell tower is IIII, not IV, because it looks too much like IU.
