An ECE student was part of the top team at the 27th annual Student Soybean Innovation Competition. Nate Nauman, a sophomore in computer engineering, and his teammates Cai Chen and Emmanuel Alagbe topped six other teams to claim the $20,000 prize. The competition, sponsored by the Indiana Soybean Alliance, encourages Purdue student teams to create new products or materials from soybeans.

David Inouye, assistant professor in electrical and computer engineering, has won the Rising Star award from Purdue’s Center for Resilient Infrastructures, Systems, and Processes (CRISP). CRISP has a program for recognizing outstanding technical contributions by faculty at two levels of seniority. The first award, called "Outstanding Star," is for senior Associate and Full Professors and the second, called "Rising Star," is for Assistant and junior Associate Professors.

Two Purdue researchers have been selected as Quantum Information Science and Engineering Network (QISE-NET) triplet awardees. The “triplets” – a group consisting of a university principal investigator, an industrial or national laboratory mentor, and a graduate student – come from a variety of disciplines relevant to advancing the development of quantum technologies such as materials science, chemistry, device engineering, physics, computer science and industrial research.
