The Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is marking Andrew’s death by remembering how he lived.

Purdue’s No. 1-ranked online master’s in Electrical and Computer Engineering offered the academic rigor Omar Mahboob, a semiconductor engineer for General Motors, was looking for with the flexibility to tailor the program to his professional needs and fit in his schoolwork around his job and family life.

Alexeenko and her team at LyoHUB, which includes Dimitrios Peroulis, Reilly Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, have nearly completed technology that is easy to adapt to existing freeze-drying cabinets and cut the process time in half. A nearly $1 million grant helped them get there.

Zubin Jacob, Elmore Professor in Purdue University’s Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, is leading a team of researchers who have developed a new technology that uses meta-optical devices to perform thermal imaging.

This is the fourth YIP grant Brinton has received from a government agency, tying a record at Purdue.

Funding includes $50 million to support Purdue Computes, one of the top strategic initiatives for the university. The other $50 million will support the Mitchell E. Daniels, Jr. School of Business.

Shakouri replaced Weinong Chen, Reilly Professor of Aeronautics and Astronautics, who held the position since 2019 and saw college research expenditures increase by an average rate of 7 percent during his tenure.
