Purdue ECE’s Online Electrical Engineering Master’s Ranks No. 1 Nationwide
Purdue University’s Elmore Family School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is once again at the top of the national rankings.
In U.S. News & World Report’s 2026 Best Online Graduate Programs list, Purdue’s online master’s degree in electrical engineering ranked No. 1 in the nation, reinforcing Purdue ECE’s position as a global leader in online engineering education. The rankings were released Tuesday (Jan. 27).
The electrical engineering program is one of five Purdue online engineering master’s degrees ranked No. 1, a milestone that underscores Purdue Engineering’s continued dominance in high-quality, flexible graduate education for working professionals.

Alongside electrical engineering, Purdue’s online master’s programs in civil engineering, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering and engineering management all earned No. 1 rankings. This marks the first time all five engineering disciplines ranked No. 1 in the same year.
