Professors Eric Furgason and Thomas Talavage receive College of Engineering Faculty Awards of Excellence

Professor Furgason received the Engagement and Service Award, while Professor Talavage received the Team Award as part of the Purdue Neurotrauma Group

Professors Eric Furgason and Thomas Talavage have received College of Engineering Faculty Awards of Excellence for 2013.

Professor Furgason received the Engagement and Service Award, which rewards contributions to service, teaching, and research. Criteria include excellence in innovation and impact of the engagement/service program(s) created and implemented by the faculty member.

Professor Talavage received the Team Award as part of the Purdue Neurotrauma Group, a collaborative research group that combines expertise in clinical diagnosis and care, biomechanics, and neuroimaging to examine mild traumatic brain injuries. The purpose of the Team Award is to recognize and encourage teamwork or multidisciplinary efforts by faculty and staff in the College of Engineering.
