The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) is actively seeking Veterans to join our Agency for employment.
The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office is currently accepting applications for the USPTO Veteran Internship Program –Student Trainee Patent Examiner student, now in its 4th year. As before, the internship is opened to student Veterans seeking an engineering degree and who will be starting their senior year in the Fall of 2015. Students may now apply for this position thru March 26, 2015.
The Veteran Internship Program (VIP) is designed to give student Veterans, at Purdue University, a unique opportunity to navigate the frontiers of technology, and learn what a career as a Patent Examiner can afford. This is a paid internship program designed specifically for Veterans. In particular, Veteran students who are seeking degrees in computer, electrical, or mechanical engineering. At the end of the program, and completion of their degree, each of our VIP interns may be eligible to be converted non-competitively to one of our full-time Patent Examiner positions.
