Center for Pre-Professional Advising Ambassadors Pre-Professional Ambassadors are a select group of students from different majors and career interest who are dedicated to the positive promotion of pre-professional studies at Purdue. Ambassadors communicate their knowledge of what it is like to be a pre-professional student at Purdue with prospective students and their families. Academic Success Center Peer Success Coaching Program Students who are interested in a paid leadership position with flexible hours and opportu-nities to gain experience in 1-on-1 communication, peer accountability, and academic/life skills development are wanted to participate in this program. The goal of the Peer Success Coaching program is to offer students peer support as they transition into college and the rigorous academic environment at Purdue. Pre-SOMA Conference UP-KYCOM The American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine partnering with University of Pikeville - Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine (UP-KYCOM) to host the Fall 2014 Pre-SOMA Conference on Saturday, October 18, 2014. This conference brings together a number of Osteopathic Medical Schools to highlight their history and commitment to rural and Appalachia medicine. Osteopathic Medical Schools have led the way in these areas and are highly regarded for their training and educa-tion of future physicians.
This interactive conference is designed especially for aspiring pre-medical students. The events are designed as a way to promote Osteopathic Medicine and awareness of the many opportunities that come with being an Osteopathic Physician. A number of Osteo-pathic Medical Colleges’ admission officers will be in attendance at the event.
