Why I chose Purdue?
Living in Europe for three years, I traveled across the continent, exploring new places, absorbing new cultures, and developing lifelong friendships. Purdue’s international diversity provided me the opportunity to continue my explorations and desires.

Why I chose Engineering and BME?
With engineering, the options are limitless. Pursuing a BME degree, I am challenged to engage in both engineering and medical fields to produce a positive impact on people’s lives. With BME, you are motivated to be creative, innovative, and impactful. Whether it is creating a new patent for a biomedical device or engineering a biological system, BME knowledge offers a wide range of opportunities to make an impact.

Extra-curricular activities:
• Society of Women Engineers (Strategic Initiatives Committee)
• Women in Engineering Program
• Emily Mauzy Vogel Sophomore Leadership Student Facilitator
• Sophomore Leadership Learning Community Teaching Assistant
• Tutor

Engineering-related experience/CO-OP/Intern/Research:
• Accenture Technology Consulting Analyst for Partners Healthcare Integrated Testing Team
• Integrative Biomedical Engineering Cardiovascular Science Mini Course Participant

Post-graduation plans:
My desire is to attend law school and become a patent attorney. I would like to focus on the mechanical aspects of BME and the new technologies that are available. After achieving my law degree and practicing for some years, I will volunteer my time to support medically underprivileged people in third world countries.
