Why I chose Purdue?
I chose Purdue because Purdue has a great Engineering school and Purdue’s name recognition across the country is phenomenal.

Why I chose Engineering and BME? I chose to do Engineering because I love to solve problems and design new technology. I chose BME because I’m fascinated by the human body and its complexity. I also chose BME because I wanted to make sure that the job I receive after college will be geared at bettering people’s lives in the world.

Extra-curricular activities:
Engineering Ambassador for the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, Head Chairman of Professional Development for AEMB, member of Phi Kappa Psi Fraternity, intramural sports, Boys & Girls Club, EPICS, Boiler Blast, Share Foundation

Engineering-related experience/CO-OP/Intern/Research
I have completed a four rotation CO-OP at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis, IN. While at Eli Lilly, I was a Development Engineer working on bring medical devices to commercialization. I researched and developed new technology that is coupled with subcutaneous delivery devices used to deliver patients’ medications. I have also completed a separate internship with Boston Scientific in Spencer, IN. While at Boston Scientific, I was a Manufacturing Engineering working on extruding and molding plastic components for the various medical devices being assembled downstream. Also, I worked on incorporating LEAN Essentials into the workplace.

Post-graduation plans
After college, I plan on going straight into industry. After I gain more experience, I will return to school to obtain my M.S. and/or MBA.
