Craig Goergen has been awarded the prestigious title of Fellow of the Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES), an honor reserved for individuals who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in the field of biomedical engineering.

Weldon Biomedical Engineering students recently took part in a unique Maymester study abroad in France that focused on medical imaging advancements. The program offered a great chance to engage with some of Europe’s top research institutions and explore French culture.

“I would highly recommend a co-op, as you get to explore career options that can better focus the rest of your education," said Nicole Nagel, a BME student at the Weldon School.

The leading university programs on defibrillation was at Baylor University--led by Leslie A. Geddes and his team Willis A. Tacker, Joe D. Bourland and graduate student Charles Babbs, MD.
