Celimar Valentin-Rodriguez, a PhD candidate working with Professor Albena Ivanisevic, has received a poster award from the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology at the 2011 SACNAS (Advancing Chicanos/Hispanics Native Americans in the Sciences) conference.

Congratulations to Dr. Akhilesh Gaharwar, who received a Graduate Student Silver Award from the Materials Research Society at the MRS Fall Meeting in Boston.
