Park Receives Faculty Research Award

Kinam Park, Showalter Distinguished Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, has received the 2009 Faculty Research Award from the Purdue University Chapter of Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society. Wodicka Receives COE Leadership Award

George Wodicka, head of the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering, has received the College of Engineering's Leadership award. He was chosen not only for his leadership of the School, but also for his work in the formation of the Bindley Bioscience Center, the Medical Scientist Training Program, and the Biomedship biomedical entrepreneurship and innovation program.

Bartlett Wins Elevator Pitch Competition

Weldon Graduate Student Rush Bartlett has taken first place in the graduate/staff division of the second annual Elevator Pitch Competition. The competition gives each participant two minutes to describe a business venture to judges, who then have three minutes to ask questions. Bartlett's winning presentation was for Hypoguard, a hypoglycemia injection tool. UNS has the full story. Please join us in congratulating him on his win.
