Jeremiah Bwatwa Receives Outstanding Graduate Student Award

At the Winter 2004 Engineering Send-Off in December, Jeremiah Bwatwa was awarded Biomedical Engineering's Outstanding Graduate Student Award by Dean Linda P.B. Katehi.

Jeremiah's graduate accomplishments (in addition to completion of his challenging coursework) include presenting a paper at a National American Chemical Society conference, publishing a paper, and admission to the IU School of Medicine. His research in food pathogen concentration and recovery has been a significant contribution to the area. In his "free" time, Jeremiah has been a very active volunteer in a local retirement community and has served as a mentor to students.

Congratulations and best wishes to Jeremiah Bwatwa.
