Congratulations to Dr. Yizhi Zhang for successfully defending his Ph.D thesis! Yizhi's research focused on the design and process of multifunctional thin films, especially on the nanocomposite thin films. He mainly used the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) technique to fabricate nanocomposite films. With different structures and materials design, those thin films can exhibit unique physical properties and can be applied to various electronic and optical device designs. Yizhi will be a postdoc at the Zhejiang University in China.
